Wallpaper. Natalie Lanese collides pop patterns with collage on a massive scale.
Her populations spread out in concerted action across the abstract landscapes as heroic battalions in motion. The landscape itself is credibly illusory and deeply mysterious. The exhibition includes two gigantic murals collaged directly onto the wall and a series of smaller works that offer a glimpse into her several-year evolution of this unique language from its origin in the works of 50s Brit pop collagist Richard Hamilton.
